I believe in making good food–that is healthy for people and the planet. To me, food is more than sustenence. Good food is a celebration of life. I want my food to look good, taste good, and make you feel good!
As a plant-based chef educator, my goal is to help people start or continue their plant-based food journey. Since 2011, I’ve been committed to providing the most current research and effective cooking techniques for a plant-strong lifestyle. My training includes the completion of a professional plant-based chef program, obtaining a certificate in plant-based nutrition from the Thomas T. Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell, and since 2012, being a certified plant-based cooking instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). I also have over 25 years experience as a professional health educator and communication specialist addressing various population-based public health issues.
I am continually amazed at the power of whole plant-based food to provide health and energy. I don’t believe it’s by accident that various fruits, vegetables, legumes, spices, and whole grains, contain complex phytonutrients. I see there being an intentional design by a Creator to provide this food for our well-being.
When I am not cooking, my other passions are backcountry bicycling and Nordic skiing. A plant-strong diet helps provide the endurance and recovery for these adventures. Contact me here and let’s start a conversation.
